Castling is a private equity firm currently operating as a single-family office for an HNWI and their family. With over 5 years of experience, $200 million in managed assets, and a presence in Cyprus, the Family Office specializes in wealth preservation, balanced portfolio investments, start-up ventures, and real estate management. Our mission is to deliver tailored financial strategies and comprehensive management solutions to meet our client's unique needs.
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a pivotal role in leading the financial strategy and operations of the Family Office. The CFO will oversee finance, accounting, and tax reporting for the family’s privately held entities, ensuring compliance, managing financial risks, and driving operational efficiency. This role also involves shaping long-term investment strategies, optimizing portfolio management, and collaborating with both internal teams and external advisors.
The ideal candidate will bring a progressive mindset, strong expertise in financial management, and a deep understanding of digital assets, alongside experience handling complex structures involving multiple entities across jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the Family Office’s objectives.
Provide actionable insights to guide investment decisions and assess their financial impact.
Act as a key advisor to principals on financial planning and risk management.

Analyze and recommend investment opportunities, including traditional and emerging markets.
Stay updated on emerging financial trends to inform investment strategies.
Create financial models to evaluate potential investments and their implications.

Oversee budgeting processes for a complex group structure, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
Monitor liquidity and optimize capital allocation across multiple jurisdictions.
Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper financial tracking.

Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS or equivalent standards.
Lead tax planning, reporting, and regulatory compliance for all entities.
Coordinate with external advisors to ensure effective financial and tax structuring.

Improve processes and financial controls for scalable operations.
Collaborate with external service providers for efficient financial management.

Professional Experience:

8-10+ years in senior finance roles, ideally within Family Offices, private equity, or investment companies.
Proven experience managing complex financial structures and intercompany transactions.
Expertise in cryptocurrencies and digital assets is essential.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
CPA, ACCA, or CFA qualification is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
Knowledge of ERP systems and blockchain platforms.
Familiarity with real estate financial reporting is an advantage.
