We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Merchant Business and Partnership
Principal responsibilities

• Formulate effective Merchant Business strategies and actions to improve profitability
• Identify & pioneer potential new categories of merchant acceptance on top of the traditional merchant categories
• Stay on top of market and industry development and drive innovation to support new payment products
• Agree commercial targets with strategic partners and manage the corresponding commercial engagement to ensure financial target are met
• Manage the commercial engagement with different business segments in the Bank to ensure alignment on business objective
• Develop partnership strategy that could support both the Acquiring and Issuing business
• Build and manage the relationship with merchants and payment network with a view to build stronger relationship and partnership
• Ensure the engagement with merchant and business partners are in conformance with the Bank's Third party Risk Management framework
• Drive a culture of high performance and empowerment through effective people management activities. Foster a diverse, inclusive and open environment and drive teamwork and collaboration within and outside of the team.
• Ensure robust risk assessment, escalation, governance, and compliance aligned with regulatory and internal policies.

Requirements

• Degree holder or above in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing and related disciplines
• Senior management professional who has extensive experience in Merchant business
• Proven track record in managing merchant acquiring business, on-line and off-line, whether directly or working through 3rd parties
• Seasoned people leadership to engage, motivate and develop a diverse team; drive strong performance culture with clear aligned direction; build talent pipeline and business bench strength
• Strong commercial judgment with a proven track record of delivering sales target
• Sound awareness and knowledge about the use of data analytics and customer behavior
• Highly motivated, fast-paced, and possession of strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills
