Investment Analyst Family Office - involved in all aspects of managing a family office investment portfolio
Firm Overview: We are a single-family office managing the investment portfolio for a successful principal, the former Chairman of an S&P 500 company. As a boutique buy-side investment firm, we specialize in investment research and due diligence to optimize portfolio performance and ensure long-term wealth preservation.
Role: This is a 2 to 3-year full-time position with role designed for candidates, with a passion for investing, looking to start or advance a career in investment management and research, ideally suited looking to get buyside investing experience before pursuing an MBA in business school.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth investment research and due diligence to support investment decision making Performing fundamental analysis on current and potential investments - primarily public equities - responsibilities will include business and industry analysis, financial statement analysis and modeling, tracking existing investments and news flow, data gathering, and valuation
- Prepare and update detailed research notes and analysis, financial models, investment memos and presentations
- Monitoring portfolio performance, preparing internal accounting and reporting on family office investment portfolio
- One-off Projects – likelihood of one-off opportunities that arise that may require getting involved in any or all aspects of workflows
Qualifications

1-2 years of work experience in a job requiring strong analytical and accounting skills (Big 4 Accounting/CPA a plus)

Interest and familiarity with equity investing and business analysis – strong preference to candidates who have demonstrated progress towards a CFA

High GPA from a well-respected University

Track record of strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Honest, hardworking and ambitious Strong interest and ability to learn new things and intellectual curiosity

Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
