The role:
Managing a portfolio of clients and delivering a high quality audit and assurnace service.
Planning staffing and respources for assignments, managing audits from planning to completion within agreed budgets and timescales.

We envisage the successful candidate will become an integral part of our audit department, playing a key role in managing the operational and strategic direction of the team together with a portfolio of their own audit clients.
The role involves both departmental and client activities as follows:
DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES:
Assist in the smooth day to day management of the audit department, including scheduling client work, formulating audit teams, line managing staff;
- Assist partners in controlling audit costs and billing;
- Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new business development opportunities;
- Coach and develop teammembers to achieve technical competencies and efficient performance;
- Provide technicl epxertise, provide advice and leadership to the audit team and clients;
- Assisting the audit partners in ensuring standards and procedures are maintained by the whole team;
ENAGEMENT SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
- Manage a portfolio of audit engagements
- Manage the engagements profitably by leading the team to perfor efficiently
- Liase with the client to arrange planning and completion meetings
- Oversee the preparation oof a budget during the planning stage in line with the agreed audit fee
- Monitorthe assurance team's progress against the plan and alter as required
Liase with the engagement partner about audit progress and arrnage meetings with the assurance team and clients as required
- Coach and develop team members by sharing knowledge and helping team mmebers attain experiences that cultivate technical competencies
- Develop team mebers by encouraging them to think for themselves and to take responsibility for their contributions to the assurance team
- Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/on the job training
- Develop and maintain long term client relationships and networks
- Review work completed by the senior and assistant ahead of the RI review. Ensure that review points are actioned in a timely manner
THE PERSON
You will be an ambitious candidate who has a relevant professinal qualification ( ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CGMA)
Will have significant experience managing audits from planning to completion and who aspires to further their career towards becoming an RI
Other skills and experience required:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to build strongand trusted relationshipswith a range of clients and your own team
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise high volumes of work and multiple stakeholders
- The ability to manage complex projects and find solutions to problems at an early stage to meet agreed deadlines
- The ability to identify and provide recommendations for improvements to client's systems and internal controls
- In depth experience of using Microsoft office, Excel, Word and audit osftwar
