JOB PURPOSE
Provide assistance to our AIF clients, our Management Company/AIFM and the Conducting Persons in the context of their investment fund/management company mandates, to analyse, assess and evaluate fund valuations. Work, at a high level, together with leading names in Europe, namely fund promoters, investment Managers, depositary banks, Fund administrators, internal and external auditors.

Provide assistance to our AIF clients, our Management Company/AIFM and the Conducting Persons in the context of their investment fund/management company mandates, to analyse, assess and evaluate fund valuations. Work, at a high level, together with leading names in Europe, namely fund promoters, investment Managers, depositary banks, Fund administrators, internal and external auditors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Conducting Officer for valuation in performance and ongoing oversight of the valuation function for the AIFs under management and assist overseeing the UCITS valuation framework;
- Review valuation reporting of external valuers and appraisers for AIFs under management;
- Assist with initial and periodic due diligence on external valuers and valuation appraisers;
- Perform internal valuations in accordance with AIFs policies and procedures;
- Perform periodic reviews on valuations of liquid assets;
- Assist with initial and ongoing oversight of UCITS valuation framework and valuations;
- Support with handling of ad-hoc valuation issues;
- Assist with on-boarding of new AIFs and documenting the valuation setup in cooperation with various internal and external participants;
- Liaise with clients, service providers related to operations of the funds and services provided;
- Support with handling of client, service provider, audit and regulatory queries and requests;
- Assist preparing reports on the UCITS and AIFs valuations and valuation oversight activity at the agreed frequency (Monthly/Quarterly);
- Identify and suggest continuous improvements to work processes and data collection, reporting and analyses.
REQUIREMENTS
- You hold a University Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Mathematics. A specialization in quantitative economics will be considered as an advantage;
- You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in AIFs and valuation;
- You have a good knowledge of quantitative finance, risk management methods and financial instruments;
- You hold the CFA or the CAIA or any valuation certificate;
- You have good analytical, organizational, writing and communication skills;
- You are able to work both independently and as part of a team;
- You are fluent in English; any other language will be considered as an asset.
