The News Quality Team is looking for an individual who is ready to be at the core of how LSEG delivers effective news metadata management and compliance with content distribution licenses. The team ensures that we meet industry requirements for real-time news alerts, exclusives, and insights that financial professionals rely on for market monitoring and deal idea generation.
Bring your passion for data integrity and identifying key themes and trends from text and video news content. Dive into work that ensures our multimedia assets are accurately indexed within Eikon and Workspace to improve how our customers search, discover, and integrate news into their workflows. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and measure the metadata quality for news associated with certain topics or themes, determined by the Head of News Content & Strategy.
- Ensure compliance with our news distribution licenses through timely implementation of standard remediation procedures.
- Respond to queries from key LSEG partners and perform standard procedures immediately.
- Identify and report emerging themes and topics that may draw regulatory concern.
- Track results and actions that inform management reports that provide trends and insights to key collaborators.
- Complete transcription of on-demand news clips in a timely manner, reviewing drafts for any spelling, grammar, or formatting errors, and other inconsistencies.
- Carry out the regular update of News Spotlight app content.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Leverage knowledge and experience in the fields of Communications / Journalism / Finance / Business / Economics.
- Strong communication and comprehension skills, including a passion for reading news and analyzing themes of current events and financial news.
- Knowledge of the financial industry: terms, jargons, preferred usage in news is a plus.
- Excellent research skills, self-sufficient, and able to make real-time decision calls.
- Typing skills of at least 60 words per minute and a detailed understanding of all aspects of English language and grammar.
- Must show attention to detail, good organization skills, and a strong sense of time management.
