Our client, a leading global banking and financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced AVP, IMR Professional Practices to join their team in Krakow, Poland. This role offers an opportunity to drive quality standards and efficiency in model review while providing mentorship to junior colleagues.

Position Overview

The AVP, IMR Professional Practices will play a crucial role in building a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the model review team, setting quality standards, driving efficiency, and providing oversight and support to junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build a culture of lifelong learning and improvement
• Collect and share best practices for model review
• Set quality standards for model review processes
• Drive efficiency improvements in model review operations
• Provide oversight and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

• Experience in model development and model validation
• Prior experience providing technical assurance for model validation
• Strong technical report writing skills
• Background in a STEM subject
• Understanding of general banking regulations
• Knowledge of structured modelling environments
• Familiarity with Model Risk Management frameworks (e.g., SS1/23)
• Proficiency in programming, preferably Python
