Role Overview:
As a Part-Qualified Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the finance team to support the preparation and analysis of financial data. This role offers excellent exposure to all aspects of accounting and is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills while working towards full qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Support the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
Maintain and update financial records and ledgers.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Liaise with auditors and support in the audit process.
Provide general accounting support and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements:
Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (or working towards).
Previous experience in an accounting role, ideally within a finance team.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or similar).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
