Senior Business Analyst (Certified Accountant)

Job Setup and Location: On-Site, Abu Dhabi

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with a strong accounting background and a comprehensive understanding of UAE financial accounting regulations. This role combines expertise in financial analysis, business process improvement, and stakeholder communication to deliver impactful solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze and interpret complex financial data to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance teams to streamline accounting processes and reporting systems.

2. Business Requirements Gathering:

• Engage with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements.
• Document, analyze, and validate business and functional requirements for financial systems and processes.

3. Process Improvement:

• Identify inefficiencies in financial and operational workflows and recommend improvements.
• Develop strategies for optimizing financial systems, leveraging automation, and enhancing data accuracy.

4. Solution Implementation:

• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and test financial software solutions.
• Ensure smooth integration of accounting systems with other business functions.
• Provide user training and support to ensure successful adoption of new processes or tools.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the bridge between finance, operations, and IT teams.
• Prepare and present financial insights, business cases, and project updates to stakeholders.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on changes to UAE financial regulations, VAT, and other relevant laws.
• Ensure the organization's financial practices align with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certification: Certified Accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in accounting and business analysis roles, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and compliance standards.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience in implementing or upgrading financial software systems.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools and techniques.
