What you'll do
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all financial statements, and our transition from Irish GAAP to IFRS. Strong levels of technical accounting knowledge are required, coupled with the desire and ability to be the 'subject matter expert'.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls and financial accuracy.
- Highly competent in managing financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial results for multiple entities and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate will be able to administer and optimise the NetSuite ERP system to streamline financial processes and reporting.
- Lead the team members responsible for accounting, payroll, and all tax processes.
- Provide key contributions to the company financial strategy and decision-making processes.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate and manage all external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Be the main point of contact for our external auditors.
- Present to the Audit Committee.
- Implement and monitor compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, based mostly in Dublin, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of finance staff.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on complex financial issues and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Professional accountancy certification required (e.g., ACCA or CPA).
- Proven experience in a financial management role within a lending or banking environment, or several years of experience from working in the lending/banking team at a large accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Ideally have expertise in NetSuite or similar ERP systems, with a track record of successful implementation and management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a finance team.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is highly desirable.
