The role of a Transaction Manager

Responsibilities
- To be the primary contact on an allocated portfolio of transactions.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with clients and other market participants, helping to develop the GLAS Australia's portfolio and presence.
- In conjunction with the internal legal team, perform a high-level review of syndicated loan and security documentation from an operational perspective.
- To co-ordinate and to act as a liaison point between finance parties during the term of a transaction.
- To ensure all conditions precedent have been confirmed by legal and lenders as required and notify all finance parties prior to first utilisation.
- To monitor ongoing conditions subsequent.
- To approve utilisation requests prior to processing where conditions subsequent apply.
- Coordinate efficient completion of GLAS's KYC processes, including collection and understanding of corporate formation and structure documentation, and liaising with GLAS's internal Compliance team.
- Establishment and ongoing maintenance of internal transaction databases.
- Covenant monitoring through the collection and analysis of financial statements and information, with immediate distribution and posting of required documentation to the wider lender group via Debtdomain.
- Coordinating waivers and amendments to existing documentation in consultation with borrowers, lenders, lenders legal and lenders advisors where appropriate.
- Management and coordination of finance party accessions.
- Managing and organising the daily workload ensuring activities are performed within defined deadlines.
- Collaborating and coordinating with team members to cover all operational aspects of loan closing processes.
- Working with the team Manager, developing processes and procedures.
- Escalating any issues or complaints in a timely manner.
Person Specification
- Solid knowledge and experience as facility and security agent.
- Loan documentation review experience.
- Good understanding of funding mechanics.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- A can-do and resourceful attitude with a commitment to critical and flexible thinking.
