This is a short term role 3 to 6 months to cover UK tax reporting and compliance. In addition to you will be UK tax advisory lead on group projects (especially treasury tax and restructuring) and own and develop UK cash tax forecasting and deferred tax models.

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the quarterly IFRS group tax reporting process, including managing the UK tax model for a large and complex group with numerous UK entities.
- Assisting the Head of UK Direct Tax and Group Tax Reporting, as well as the wider Group Tax team, in preparing and delivering group and UK tax reports to Senior Management.
- Serving as the designated UK tax technical lead for treasury tax matters and other significant UK tax projects, supporting the Head of Tax.
- Preparing UK group CIR and Group Relief returns, along with associated forms, using the Alphatax group module.
- Demonstrating strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation to support the in-house UK tax compliance process.
- Preparing corporate tax computations for allocated UK companies in Alphatax.
- Preparing UK corporate tax and deferred tax calculations for allocated UK entities, including drafting necessary note disclosures for company statutory accounts using Alphatax.
- Calculating UK quarterly tax instalments.
- Assisting with the integration of newly acquired UK entities in an acquisitive group (e.g., by opening tax balances).
- Maintaining and updating SAO documentation.
- Managing UK tax risks.
- Handling the clearance of entities for liquidation.
- Ensuring that accounting system balances are consistently up to date.
- Managing ad hoc projects requiring tax expertise.
