Assistant Vice President, Post Trade - Platform & Infrastructure

Job Summary:
The successful incumbent will work in the Platform & Infrastructure Team under Operations Division, supporting various projects and initiatives for the cash market.

Job Duties:

We are seeking a dynamic and detailed oriented Business Analyst for a strategic project focused on system upgrades in the cash equity market. This role is essential in aligning business needs with technology solutions, particularly in the realm of API integration.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business requirements
• Evaluate and enhance current business processes, creating process maps and flowcharts to visualize improvements
• Work with IT teams to understand system capabilities related to APIs, assessing how technology can meet business objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and validate solutions, creating business specifications and use cases
• Coordinate testing activities and ensure implemented solutions meet documented requirements and facilitating necessary adjustments
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues
• Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users, offering ongoing support during and after implementation
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, process flows, specifications and deliverables, ensuring accessibility and accuracy

Requirements:

• University Degree, preferably in business administration, information technology, or a related field
• At least 6-8 years of relevant working experience in well-established financial organization
• Previous experience as a business analyst or in a similar role, ideally within technology driven projects. Knowledge of cash equity market in Hong Kong or overseas market is preferred.
• Strong understanding of technology concepts, particularly APIs and system integrations
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
