About this role

Join our Melbourne Corporate Tax team, where we unravel the intricacies of corporate tax, providing bespoke solutions for businesses navigating tax audits, international tax challenges, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. As a Manager, lead our knowledgeable team, delivering exceptional client experiences across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

  • Tailor technical income tax advice
  • Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with related party loans, tax planning, and structuring
  • Oversee tax compliance and governance for large client groups, including significant trusts
  • Support dynamic clients in transactions
  • Advise on business structuring and conduct tax due diligence
  • Address tax issues in cross-border investments and structures
  • Handle revenue office submissions, reviews, and audits
  • Provide tax advisory support to Grant Thornton's wider team and professionals in our Affinity network
  • Coach, support, and lead team members, delivering technical training
  • Engage in business development opportunities

Skills & experience

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance, Business/Commerce, Legal, or relevant discipline
  • CA/CPA, CTA, or equivalent industry accreditation(s)
  • Proven experience in corporate tax and advisory, ideally in public practice
  • Leadership experience, coaching, and mentoring
  • Proactive client relationship management and cross-selling
  • Demonstrated accountability and ownership
