Your impact at MUFG

You will manage and grow the portfolio of Financial Institution relationships, marketing the full range of MUFG products and services in order to achieve the growth in revenues with a level of profit, risk and return in line with agreed business plans.
  • Financial Institution coverage is in charge of the relationship management of Banks, Insurance, (Alternative) Asset Management companies in EMEA. The team is building on recent success to expand the product suite to include capital and liquidity management solutions for Insurance and Financial Sponsor clients.
  • While London is the centre of expertise for Financial Institutions. the FI coverage team in Europe is expanding and adding additional Financial institutions coverage team members across the European continent.

The role includes the following:
  • Manage the relationship with the (Non-Bank) Financial Institution clients such as insurance clients, pursue the new business origination while ensuring the compliance of the relevant rules and regulations
  • Lead the global relationship with the NBFI clients by collaborating with the regional and sector relationship managers and product partners in US, APAC and Japan
  • Enhance cross sell opportunities by close collaboration with the product partners in Financial Markets, Trade and Structured Solutions
  • Maintain a close and open relationship with FI team members and the relevant teams/departments of the Bank and MUFG entities, ensuring two-way information flow and access to clients

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:
  • University degree or equivalent experience in area of expertise
  • Experience in a financial institution either in an origination, relationship management or structuring role with insurance sector expertise being a clear plus
  • Deep understanding of the FI sector and relevant products
  • Understanding of the Solvency 2 regulations and capital management
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English are essential (German language skills is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills
