On behalf of our client, an international company within life sciences, based in St Gallen, Swisslinx is looking for a Financial Controller (80% with hybrid work model). Ideal candidate will ensure financial recording, reporting and forecasting procedures are in place and working effectively for the organization.
Your mission:
- Responsibility and collaboration monthly / quarterly and year-end closing
- Cash management
- Responsibility VAT filing CH including audit
- Responsible for export customs declaration as well as asset accounting and finance leasing
- Contact person for accounting and tax issues for banks, insurance companies, authorities and auditors
- Supporting the Head of FR&A in the preparation of the consolidated annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements and in monitoring the financial audit
- SAP: co-lead of finance projects for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and further development of the group consolidation tool LucaNet
- Support of continuous improvement processes in the finance area
- Support of global tax and financial management and initiatives in close cooperation with the subsidiaries
- Support Head of FR&A with a focus on accounting principles, taxes and cash management
- Co-lead company's accounting and financial reporting function and lead the company's financial reporting, accounting and financial compliance activity
- Supervise and advise global FR&A staff. Develop a global "one team approach" and work closely with the teams at subsidiary level
Your profile:
- Specialist in finance and accounting with a federal certificate.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in a comparable position.
- Experience with accounting standards (OR, Swiss GAAP).
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Fluent in German and English, written and verbal.
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive and inquisitive personality, willing to take on new challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with different teams in different locations.
