This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team within Business Banking. This role sits within the Trade & Working Capital Portfolio Risk and In-Life Management Team which forms part of Business Lending providing the full spectrum of business customers' trade & working capital borrowing needs. The broader team is responsible for the distribution of all trade and working capital products, pricing and process management, development and in-life management of certain working capital products and management of business customers in arrears or financial difficulty.

The Trade & Working Capital - Analyst will be part of a national team and will be responsible for supporting in-life management of products in the trade & working capital lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Your accountabilities include:
  • Play a key role in the Trade & Working Capital Portfolio Risk and In-Life Management team.
  • Analyse Group data to help create operational efficiencies, automate controls and mitigate risk.
  • Be accountable for key analysis and reporting for the Executive Manager - Portfolio Risk and In-Life Management as well as the leadership team for Trade & Working Capital.
  • Be accountable for maintaining the product exception register providing accurate and meaningful reporting to various risk forums.
  • Support in the preparation of annual reviews analysing product suitability and assessing cash conversion cycles
  • Run analytics across the portfolio to help identify growth opportunities (e.g. facility increases)
  • Support the identification of emerging risks across the portfolio and work closely with specialists and risk teams to help understand and address these.
  • Support a portfolio of trade & working capital customers taking responsibility for the in-life management of those customers.

What we're looking for
  • Minimum 1-4 years relevant experience in banking or financial services, incorporating trade finance, working capital finance or cashflow lending is advantageous
  • Experience in analysing data, generating meaningful reporting, simplifying the complex.
  • Sound financial acumen including working capital cycle and financial analysis
  • Strong drive and passion around delivering market leading trade & working capital products to our customers
