  • Permanent, full-time role
  • Sydney based role (Barangaroo Office) but open to candidates based in other states

How will I help?

We are looking for a Project Director to join our team on a permanent basis. The Risk and Regulatory Delivery team is a specialist delivery function for complex Business & Wealth transformation and are accountable for program specific execution of divisional Risk and Regulatory Change.

The Project Director will lead the Financial Crime Tax Entity Classification program. The Federal Government & ATO has a Tax Transparency Code which requires us to have a formal tax management strategy with acceptable levels of risk and transparency of tax contributions. Your role is to implement scalable processes across onboarding channels for self-certification of entity status when opening an account.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the achievement of Westpac's strategy by working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems
  • Developing viable business cases that support targeted business outcomes and deliver business value
  • Managing projects to deliver solutions and capabilities that meet agreed scope, time, cost, quality, risk appetite
  • Complying with the group governance processes, ensuring stakeholders understand their role in delivery and required decision making and escalation processes are in place to help achieve success.

What do I need?
  • You will have at least 7 Years Project Management experience with relevant Risk and Regulatory delivery experience
  • You will bring previous people leadership experience
  • You will need to have experience delivering a technology program
  • Project Management certificate (i.e. PMI-PMP, Prince2, etc)
  • Expert in agile project processes and tools
  • Experience within Financial Services
