Overview
The purpose of the role is to be the product owner of the credit and lending capability at Brighte and ensuring revenue, risk and customer experience targets associated with lending are met. The role means that this person is the owner of the credit policy and corresponding credit metrics which support revenue outcomes (e.g. approval rate, credit approval process, vendor quality etc. whilst ensuring we meet our regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
You'll help to dentify, prioritise and deliver on opportunities which increase the profitability of Brighte's core lending products and provide a single point of accountability to Brighte's C-Suite executives on the financial performance and Key Risks across all of Brighte's lending products.
You'll be the lending subject matter expert who leads and motivates the partners across the business who support of Brighte's Core finance.
What You'll Do
You'll be taking the lead and inspiring stakeholders across the business by:
- All facets of the lending journey, and key decisions required to enhance the profitability of Brighte's lending portfolio.
- Market problems and opportunities to grow lending margin whilst operating within the business risk appetite.
- Business objectives and process/technical requirements which can used by the program and product management functions to build new products or feature enhancements.
- Turning ideas into reality by owning the end-to-end product development/enhancement lifecycle of:
process of problem identification, solution design, business case approval, requirement gathering, technical delivery, risk ownership.
- Continuously monitoring and challenging the key inputs which drive individual and portfolio level loan profitability.
What You'll Bring
- An ability to lead and motivate individuals across all the functions required to operate and enhance a lending product.
- Experience in identifying and resolving market problems which exist within the purchasing of renewables.
- A data driven, financially focussed mindset and a deep understanding of the commercial drivers of lending products.
- You are an experienced leader yet are still hands on to understand where change needs to be made.
- Your communication skills - both written and verbal - are second to none and your ability to adapt to your audience is strong.
- You have very high emotional intelligence.
- You have the ability to think critically and strategically.
