Deliver the IFRS 17 Accounting & Solution
- To ensure Financial Reporting number, under IFRS 17 basis, is meeting the accuracy, quality, and punctuality as per expectation.
- To assist with various investigation/ assessment / analysis of the number to understand the movement and the drivers.
- To assist with the system/ process implementation to meet IFRS 17 data/ process requirements as a result from technical interpretation.
- Develop business requirements for disclosure and reporting.
- Assist in the enhancement of financial solution frameworks and models.
- To assess and document the process and controls for the opening Balance Sheet.
- To understand the current accounting system (sunGL) and how it will be updated/ reconfigured to be align with IFRS 17 requirements from the regional office.
- To assist the work related to transition, for instances: populating the historical information, monitor and review the development of the tools, proposing solutions when data is unavailable.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on IFRS 17 requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of IFRS 17 standards.
- Coordinating with internal and external auditors for financial audits
- Collaborating with other departments to gather information for financial reporting .
- Support data architecture and design. Redesign the posting rules of business events and mapping to sub-ledger as part of addhoc and regular COA and Accounting process maintenance.
- This role will work with development and implementation teams on configuration of SUN GL, sub ledger and testing of reporting and related reconciliation controls and business readiness activities in implementation phases.
- Design mapping of Chart of Accounts in sub-ledger to the regional's Chart of Accounts in General Ledger
- Manage the team within the workstream assigned to ensure that the deliverables can be provided in a timeline basis.
- Work closely with other work-stream teams to support them in syndicating, validating and implementing accounting processes.
- Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders.
- Build and manage relationship with stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination towards completeness of work stream deliverables.
- Work closely with the project team, including the Data, Systems and Actuarial work streams where the delivery of work-stream requires multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Provide insight on industry practices to stakeholders to facilitate continuous improvement of deliverables.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting processes. Conduct regular audits and checking to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
