Credit Risk Officer - Trade Finance

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a "Senior Credit Risk Officer" for an established international bank based in Geneva. The role involves managing and assessing credit risks, with a strong focus on trade finance and commodities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a prominent institution in the financial sector.

Responsibilities :

• Assess and manage credit risks related to trade finance transactions, with a focus on commodities.
• Analyze financial statements and creditworthiness of clients involved in trade finance activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with front office teams to review and approve credit facilities for clients.
• Monitor and manage existing credit lines, ensuring timely reviews and adjustments as necessary.
• Work closely with traders, relationship managers, and risk teams to mitigate exposure and develop risk strategies.
• Prepare and present regular reports on credit risk to senior management and committees.
• Support the development and implementation of credit risk models and policies tailored to trade finance.

Profile :

• Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably within the banking sector, with a strong focus on commodities and trade finance.
• Proven track record in managing credit risk in trade finance transactions.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess complex financial information.
• Detailed understanding of trade finance structures and commodity financing.
• Proficient in risk management frameworks and tools.
• Fluent in both French and English.
