GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Regional Chief Lending Officer directs the region's entire lending program and supervises all phases of the lending operations. This position guides and directs activities of all loan personnel under their immediate control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Proactively work with the Chief Lending Officer in creating and carrying out a strategic vision for lending functions. This duty is performed daily.
2. Oversee and monitor lending activities for specific region. This duty is performed daily.
3. Ensures adherence to bank policies and procedures. This duty is performed daily.
4. Attract, direct, and train designated lending personnel. This duty is performed daily.
5. Establish, communicate, and uphold performance expectations and standards, related to lending goals. This duty is performed as needed.
6. Responsible for approving complex loans. This duty is performed as needed.
7. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
8. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 8 years related experience and/or training, and 7 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and understand the most complex documents; Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints; Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style; Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal, logical or scientific symbolism such as formulas, scientific equations, and graphs. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

-Knowledge of loan participation and purchase agreements.

-Strong financial analytical and underwriting skills.
-Extensive supervisory and managerial experience.
-Ability to evaluate and train others.
-Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
-Good oral and written communication skills
