Description
An exceptional Nonprofit Organization in the city of New York currently has a position available for a Director of Accounting.
Responsibilities of this position will include:
- Preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Reviewing and approving all AP invoices
- Coordinating the budget process
- Preparing monthly reports for discussion with senior management
- Coordinating with auditors during annual financial audit
- Managing ad hoc duties as necessary

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel
