Job Description Summary

Responsibilities will focus on collaborating with the business to define and implement analytic solutions based on their business strategy. This role will work with the technical partners to extract the required data, to create the analytic models and to perform the analysis once the data is accumulated, then present findings and recommendations to the business. The role will work in a business unit in a team environment with general supervision. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. 15+ years of experience

Major Duties

Works with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their strategies, how they align with corporate strategies and determine ways to use analytics to drive decision making
Defines and develops analytic capabilities that can be leveraged to solve cross-business function challenges in a business unit
Supports the analytical needs of various business functions in a business unit, enabling strategic prioritization to deliver the most value
Analyzes and understands Northern Trust's core business processes and data flows to design and develop enduring solutions that provide analytical insights (both historical and predictive)

Ensures best practice techniques are used to report the data in a form that is accurate and insightful
Contributes to the development and delivery of solutions that: leverage and extend existing Business

Intelligence and analytics infrastructure; consider metric governance and enterprise solutions alignment; are scalable, repeatable and effective; follow agreed upon governance and technology policies including use of Agile or SDLC processes

Assists with applying and developing statistical models/methods to address business issues

Develops metrics and create ad-hoc reporting as needed

Assists internal customers with operational change management activities required to realize business value from the analytics solution

Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner

Rapidly and effectively adapts to highly dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Participates in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Fosters a positive and collaborative environment

Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements

Knowledge

1.Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise

2.Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

3.Highly flexible and adaptable to change

4.Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff
5. Expertise with Data Analytics Tools like Python or R, Alteryx, SQL and Excel

6. Strong Data Skills in Big Data platforms like Snowflake, Azure or AWS

7.Data Visualization and Storytelling proficiencies in data viz tools like Tableau , PowerBi, Looker.

8. Statistical Analysis of data using Machine Learning models either Python or R packages.

Experience :• A College or University degree and/or relevant demonstrated work experience

24 months as Consultant

12 months as Senior Consultant
