* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's growth goals, providing regular financial insights to senior leadership to aid decision-making and drive business performance.
* Financial Oversight: Lead the finance team, ensuring effective management of financial operations, particularly in project-based accounting, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Joint Ventures & Partnerships: Maximise collaboration opportunities with key partners to support growth initiatives and ensure seamless financial management of joint ventures.
* Market & Sector Insights: Stay informed about trends and market dynamics in the food & beverage and events sectors, providing strategic recommendations to drive profitability.
* Investment & Project Evaluation: Evaluate and approve new business proposals, with a focus on business development, project feasibility, and retention.
* Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity while supporting operational and growth needs.
* Profit & Margin Improvement: Identify and drive initiatives that enhance profitability, income, and margins across the business.
* Risk Management: Work with operational teams to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting and recommending actions to stay on target.
* Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and management reports in compliance with UK regulations and standards.
* Cost Control: Implement cost-saving measures at both the head office and event level to drive profitability.
* Leadership: Lead and inspire the finance team, adapting to the dynamic and fast-paced environment of the events and hospitality industry.
* Client Engagement: Build strong, professional relationships with clients' finance teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication on financial matters.
* Essential:
o Degree in Finance or a related field; ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
o Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior commercial finance role, ideally in the F&B, retail, or events sector.
o Strong understanding of P&L management, financial planning, and commercial finance.
o Experience in business partnering at an executive level, delivering actionable financial insights to senior leaders.
o Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance with UK financial regulations.
o Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating teams.
