Job Details
Product Success
- Lead internal research independently.
- Develop detailed product performance standards and monitoring ranges for all Equity and Multi-Asset products.
- Build relationships with portfolio managers and sub-advisors to gather information on product performance.
- Create analytical tools and frameworks to support evaluation processes.
- Ensure consistency in fund standard monitoring across the Equity and Multi-Asset shelf.
- Analyze and communicate whether products meet their goals, suggesting remediation when necessary.
- Regularly review monitoring systems and processes, including fund benchmark evaluation.
- Coordinate with portfolio management and product leaders to ensure consistent product standards and messaging.
- Develop peer group comparators with experts to explain product success.
Business Partner
- Share insights with product leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Advocate for clients within the organization.
- Bring expert knowledge of investment philosophy, process, performance, and research to fund goal setting.
- Serve as an objective feedback mechanism to investment management and product teams.
- Combine strong investment analytics knowledge with the ability to communicate impacts on business performance.
- Understand investment strategies, peer groups, performance, and attribution analysis.
- Develop partner relationships across Mackenzie functional units.
Product Development
- Collaborate with product development and portfolio management to identify new opportunities.
- Develop new product performance standards and help craft investment standards.
Revenue Growth
- Evaluate product shelf success to ensure a world-class offering and identify areas for growth.
- Highlight competitive and successful investment strategies to the organization and leadership.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in manager research or product management with strong research, analytics, leadership, and influencing skills.
- Strong quantitative investment knowledge and the ability to communicate impacts on investment performance.
- Deep understanding of capital markets and asset management.
- Professional manner in dealing with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven client relations skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
- Self-starter with proven problem-solving skills and creative solutions.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Tableau or other visualization tools.
- CIPM qualification is advantageous.
- CFA or equivalent technical experience is essential.
- MBA or similar training is a plus.
