You'll have the opportunity to drive change and need to be comfortable with ambiguity. You'll need to be proactive and adaptable when working with the business to develop and deliver a people plan, identifying and delivering solutions that optimise both employee and business performance. In fact, we'll rely on you to be a thought-leader in all aspects of your role, bringing sound judgement and fresh ideas across a variety of HR projects and programmes within the business. You will be:
  • Building trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders in the business.
  • A member of both the Business unit(s) leadership team and the Business line People Steerco.
  • Accountable for the delivery of all cyclical people related activities including, performance, reward, promotion, talent identification and succession planning within the business.
  • Using your extensive skills, knowledge, effective judgement, and business acumen to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement strategic workforce planning, talent analytics and management, all the while ensuring fairness and consistency runs throughout.
  • Supporting the building of a strong, diverse talent pipeline.
  • Sharing knowledge and insights with the wider HR community to help shape the way we do things and ensure business goals are in line with firm-wide strategy.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you'll be responsible for partnering one or more of the Audit & Assurance business units. We'll rely on you to be a thought-leader in all aspects of your role, bringing sound judgement and fresh ideas to the table across a variety of HR projects and programmes within the business. You will lead on various strategic people initiatives, working in collaboration with senior Partners to develop, deliver and embed business strategy and organisational change. You will need:
  • Experience at senior manager level together with experience of being a business partner and have a proven track record in core HR competencies and exposure to the associated risks.
  • To demonstrate the successful delivery of HR activity and evidence of a client-centred approach.
  • Experience of creating compelling proposals and business cases that succinctly articulate recommendations and actions.
  • Experience of working in a highly commercial environment ideally, but not essentially, within Financial Services or a Regulated industry.
  • Experience of operating with a COE model and how to leverage those relationships to deliver large scale projects.
  • The ability to interpret data and use this to spot trends and make decisions quickly.
  • To be comfortable in a fast-paced and complex matrix environment.
  • To be accomplished at communicating, influencing, coaching, challenging and managing senior stakeholders.
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent) with evidence of further education would be beneficial but not essential.

This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
