TITLE : Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Duck Creek Technologies, you will support the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with the organization's objectives. This individual contributor role involves assisting in the analysis of financial data and performance metrics, preparing financial reports, and supporting various business teams with financial insights. You will contribute to the financial planning and analysis functions, aiding in the identification of opportunities to optimize profitability and efficiency.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.

  • Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with department heads to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to provide basic insights and recommendations for optimizing profitability and efficiency.

  • Prepare and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Support business teams with financial analysis and performance metrics as requested.

  • Monitor and report on key financial and operational metrics, identifying basic trends and areas for improvement.

  • Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all financial planning activities.

  • Continuously improve financial planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives that require financial expertise and analytical support.

WHAT YOU'VE DONE:

  • Degree preferred in Finance, Accounting or Economics or elated field or equivalent years of practical job experience in a similar function or role.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or planning within a corporate finance environment.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial reporting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & BEHAVIORS:

  • Preferred experience in the software or technology industry, particularly in a SaaS organization.

  • Familiarity with industry-specific financial metrics and performance indicators.

  • Proficiency with financial management software and ERP systems- such as Excel, Adaptive, Workday, Alteryx, PowerBI or similar financial planning tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling techniques.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to support the development of long-term financial plans.

  • Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support decision-making.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on contributing to business growth and profitability.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical standards.

  • Continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Location: Remote Poland
