Job Summary:
Northern Trust is looking to recruit professionals for its Bangalore Centre. Successful recruit would be part of Northern Trust's Corporate Risk Management. This is a highly visible role, to work on key regulatory projects across Credit, Counterparty, Liquidity risk with frequent interaction with business partners across the globe

Job title: Senior Consultant Lead
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience

Job Duties
Responsible for driving some of the highly critical regulatory reporting across RWA, SCCL, Stress Testing (CCAR, Counterparty and Liquidity) along with strategic risk management initiatives.
Develop an in-depth understanding of Northern risk management practices, business, data, systems and key regulatory laws.
Support in methodologies development, assumption review, governance and reporting across key regulatory projects
Support in requirement definition, requirement implementation and end to end testing for any transformation projects
Support in compliance and reporting for key regulatory regimes, engagement with key committees and governing bodies, and maintenance of key policies and procedures
Perform independent analysis for movement of key metrics, understand the overall data needs and have a risk and control mindset.
Recommend management overlay, perform high value analysis, insights and key trends.
Contribute and own committee tasks - working with stakeholders to create the meeting materials, action logs, overall owner for the committee material etc.
Lead a small team within your stream thereby mentoring, training them to accomplish their objectives
Perform documentation, procedures and controls to enable accurate and timely reporting.

Qualification: MBA and relevant industry experience

Skills Required
10+ years of experience in risk management
Very strong understanding and hands-on experience and operating within first or second line of defense for one of the key risk areas - Credit, Counterparty or Liquidity risk
Strong understanding and should have been involved in regulatory interpretation or implementation within one risk area
Strong understanding of at-least two to three regulatory areas: RWA, SCCL, Stress Testing, LCR, NSFR
Strong understanding of financial products like loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, repo style transactions etc.
Should have led small team and prior people management experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success challenging and influencing outcomes
Experience with any of the industry products - Adenza, Cognos, Python, Power BI etc.,
Strong data, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong hands-on experience with advanced excel
