In this role, as part of a collaborative team, you will be involved in advising our growing regional business on tax issues relating to new transactions and products including the review of external tax advice.

What role will you play?

You will provide tax advice on internal operations, transactions & sign off processes. You will also have oversight of tax aspects of all legal documentation and will monitor changes in tax law especially in relation to investment banking activities and assessing impact on the business. There will be opportunities to work on group tax projects relating to new legislation, corporate simplifications, thin capitalisation, and recapitalisations. The role will also see you advising on tax implications of corporate actions such as restructuring, acquisitions, disposals and capital and profit repatriation.
Using your strong communication and networking skills you will work with tax compliance and tax reporting to ensure new products are captured in internal tax reporting and external tax returns. You will also liaise with Group Tax and Finance regionally and globally and external advisors.

• Strong UK Tax experience from within a financial services, commodities/private equity, professional services, or similar industry
• Ability to interact effectively with different levels of staff across the Financial Management Group and wider business
• Commercially minded with a good knowledge and experience of financial services taxation
• A high degree of accuracy, with a process improvement focus
• Strong strong verbal and written communication skills, with a strong team player mindset
• Experience with capital markets would be helpful (but not essential).
