Nexia Melbourne has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our Audit and Assurance Team!

With the support of our Managers and Partners, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless execution of audit assignments. As an auditor-in-charge, you will take ownership of significant client engagements and gain exposure to diverse client portfolios. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply and expand your expertise across various client industries, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Some of the main responsibilities include :
  • Complete audit engagements, including planning, performing, finalising and reporting
  • Supervising and review junior auditor's work papers as auditor in charge
  • Mentoring, assisting and providing guidance to junior audit team members
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Manage a large portfolio of clients
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Audit Management Team
About you :
To be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • You have a minimum of 5 years external Audit experience in public practice
  • Relevant bachelor's degree (Business, Commerce, Accounting etc.) and studying CA or equivalent post-graduate qualification
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, APS, and CaseWare (or similar audit systems)
  • You are a great communicator, both written and verbal
  • Appropriate professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a solid application of audit approach
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements (e.g. Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, UIG)
