The Premium Accounting Team Leader role in Daytona Beach, Florida will lead a team of Premium Accounting Analysts to ensure high quality and timely services to multiple Brown & Brown Retail offices. The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the team, managing processes, and ensuring adherence to controls. This individual will be part of the Daytona Center of Excellence leadership team and will be based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office and will be responsible for ensuring invoicing activity is completed in accordance with established company practices and timelines.

How You Will Contribute

  • functions for the Retail Division.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce key controls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor individual teammates and the department's progress towards meeting goals.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  • Coach teammates for success through constructive and timely coaching conversations.
  • Oversee related RPAs and other associated technology.
  • Establish/maintain Agency Bill guidelines and ensure adherence to finance audit guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain team productivity KPIs.
  • Monitor Profit Center adherence to established guidelines.
  • Leverage Software automation and identify process efficiencies.
  • Ensure support for transactions is processed and filed accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with service team members to resolve transaction errors.
  • Build courteous and successful relationships with various office staff to maintain efficient practices.
  • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
  • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, and Excel
  • 5+ years leadership experience
  • 10+ years office experience
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting
  • Working knowledge of contracts
  • 3+ years of work experience working with agency bill transactions or a similar role in an insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Vertafore AMS360 Products
