Key Responsibilities
• Support the Finance Director to oversee all aspects of Finance Functions, such as Financial Accounting, Regulatory requirements, Operational and Management Reporting and Financial Controls
• Manage month-end Closing and Financial Reporting, both at Group and Local level
• Perform high level closings controls to make sure Financials are accurate, consistent and in line with expectations
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly Financial, and Management Reports
• Responsible for regulatory reporting to MAS and other regulatory topics
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and tax authorities, to ensure that annual accounts and income tax and GST returns are submitted on time and in accordance with relevant requirements (IFRS, local GAAP and local Tax Law)
• Analyse and forecast P&L based on updated business conditions and support annual budgeting process
• Oversee the compliance of all accounting policies and ensure internal controls are aligned with the requirement of the Group and other Statutory or Governing bodies
• Support the Finance Director on Operational topics such as business continuity, procurement, and risk management
• Manage and coordinate processes with the offshore Shared Services Centre
• Drive process improvements and improve operational efficiency
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned
Job Requirements
• Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional accounting qualification
• Knowledge of Credit Insurance market specificity an advantage
• 7 to 10 years of Insurance accounting and Reporting experience with strong knowledge of IFRS
• Good business acumen
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of SAP an advantage
• Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Finance Manager
