Your new role
As a Tax Consultant/Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing client relationships while providing expert tax advice. Your responsibilities will include:Engaging with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored tax solutions. Consulting with various divisions on taxation issues. Preparing Private Binding Rulings and Tax Effect Accounting Calculations. Advising on international tax matters, including offshore expansion and Controlled Foreign Company regimes. Supporting M&A transactions and restructures. Assisting in the delivery of technical training to the tax division and other teams. Participating in professional body committees, such as The Tax Institute. What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should possess:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline. Progress towards or completion of CA/CPA, CTA, or MTax qualifications. Experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory, preferably within a big four or mid-tier environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
