Key Responsibilities:
As a member of our team, reporting to the Orchard Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in all aspects of general farm work, including maintenance, repairs, and identifying safety hazards
- Assisting with the installation of irrigation systems
- Planting and pruning
- Operating farm machinery, with training provided on-site
- Assisting with the application of herbicides and pesticides
- Working precisely to ensure compliance with work health and safety standards
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements
- You will hold a C class drivers' licence (essential)
- You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with potential for Saturday work)
- A positive, can-do attitude is essential
- Attention to detail, in machinery, orchard work and safety
- You will have experience working on a farm (preferred but not essential)
- A holder of a Chemical Users Certificate (preferred but not essential)
- Certificate II or III in Rural Studies or Horticulture or Agriculture (preferred but not essential)
