KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compile tax returns for corporate entities ;
- Research tax issues and draft advice, or technical papers;
- Prepare tax effect accounting work papers;
- Prepare/deliver in-house tax training;
- Ability to understand the following concepts; Assessable Income, Allowable Deductions, Capital Allowances, Fringe Benefits Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Loss Provisions, Transfer pricing and Withholding Tax; and
- Develop a basic understanding of the following concepts; Tax consolidation, Employee Incentive Plans and Foreign Income.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
- Business / Commerce / Finance degree with Accounting Major
Desirable
- Business / Commerce / Finance / Law double degree with Accounting Major
- Commencement or near completion of CA or equivalent
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
Essential
- 2/3 years in a similar role
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
