Aufgabengebiet
Oversee financial operations and compliance for the German and Polish business units, covering accounting, financial management, taxation, statutory reporting, and other key functions integral to European operations, including Technology Hubs.
- Conduct high-level accounting and financial processes, ensuring accuracy and insight for monthly financial close activities across the designated entities and associated subsidiaries
- Manage the translation of local financial outcomes (HGB) into US GAAP standards, oversee reconciliations, and support management reporting
- Generate detailed monthly financial analyses, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, intercompany reconciliations, and settlements
- Take ownership of year-end financial statements, tax and VAT returns, transfer pricing, and other compliance-related filings
- Provide treasury support and assist with accounts payable by supervising bank account operations, managing payment controls, and stepping in for recurring journals or A/P tasks as needed
- Facilitate annual audits by coordinating with tax consultants and external auditors
- Ensure adherence to German and Polish accounting frameworks, including statutory filings, VAT submissions, and year-end financial reports
- Be a part of the migration process from the current local accounting system to Oracle
- Collaborate with international teams and external accounting service providers to address financial and operational topics effectively
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and assignments as directed by leadership
Anforderungsprofil
- Educational Background: Strong academic foundation in accounting, ideally at bachelor's or master's level
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in German HGB and Polish GAAP standards, with the ability to interpret and manage statutory and tax-related filings
- Experience: several years in a relevant role, such as Controller, Accounting Manager, or Auditor
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in the use and/or administration of enterprise accounting systems, particularly Oracle, and advanced Excel capabilities
- Language Skills: Fluent in Polish and English + conversational in German

- Analytical thinker with a structured approach and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable making autonomous decisions and providing direction to junior team members
- Team-oriented, with strong collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders
