About this opportunity

The group is developing rapidly in the Nordics through its approximately 25 entities in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. To accompany this strong growth we are looking for a Head of Tax for the group in the Nordics who will design, implement and run the Tax advisory activities, reporting and risk management framework across all entities: Bank Branches, Asset Managers, Insurance, Leasing and Factoring companies.

Main scope of the role

Primary focus will be to advise on Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and related documentation, but could embed Indirect Tax (mainly VAT) topics or customer tax reporting obligations.

What you will do
  • Activities will embed tax watch, assessment of diverse tax-related questions in day-to-day business but also transformation projects, tax reporting, performance of the tax controls and risk management framework, or representation in front of tax authorities and professional bodies.
  • Working closely with the COOs and CFOs of each entity in the BNP Paribas Group, you will be part of the Group Tax Department interacting with our community of Tax Experts around the globe.
Experience and requirements
  • You have a positive and energetic personality with a previous experience (7-10y) in a top-tier Tax advisory firm focusing on Sweden and/or Denmark. Knowledge of tax-related topics and challenges in the Financial Industry and experience in a large international firm would be a plus
  • You can demonstrate strong expertise in Transfer Pricing advisory for large international groups and also generalist knowledge on other tax areas (Indirect Tax, customer tax reporting obligations) and/or Nordic jurisdictions.
  • You are a doer (self-starter, organised, diligent, persistent), have team-spirit, a strong risk management mindset.
  • You show ability to manoeuvre across silos in large international organisations.
  • You have a strong and ethical compass
  • You are eager to tackle the tax topics with a business-driven mindset
  • You are fluent in English and Swedish. Danish is a plus.
