Major Duties :1. Identifies business needs and designs general training programs for the stakeholders 2. Conducts and facilitates training programs for corporate or specific business unit groups 3. Analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions and to recommend/implement improvements 4. Consultants with management regarding the design and production of work situations requiring new or existing training programs 5. May develop project plans including the identification of subject matter experts where appropriate 6. Assists in identifying appropriate external vendors and evaluates the applicability of their offerings 7. May manage ongoing vendor relationships 8. May carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact 9. May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management 10. Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees 11. More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas 12. Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions Knowledge :Excellent oral and written skills to be able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions are required. Good analytical and problem solving skills are required.. Strong instructional design and/or organization development skills are preferred. Knowledge of a wide range of tools and delivery techniques or is an expert within a specific content area or delivery methodology is preferred. Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Microsoft, PeopleSoft) is required Experience :A College or University degree and/or some relevant work in training area for a financial services environment is required. Related Industry qualification (e.g. SHRM) / or studying towards, is preferred
