The Role:

Cognizant is seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GCP Design & Architect GCP Cloud Solutions and other related technologies. This role involves designing implementing and managing cloud solutions that align with our business objectives. The candidate will contribute to the company's purpose by enhancing our cloud infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations.

In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform.
  
  Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure cloud solutions align with project requirements.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of resources.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and testing processes. Source code management.
• Provide support for cloud-related issues and participate in on-call rotation schedules.
  
  Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to maintain system availability. Should be able to guide the team technically and be proactive in providing the inputs to prevent failures. Performs root cause analysis and guides the team to resolve frequently recurring issues.
• Implement monitoring solutions and performance optimization strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of cloud-based applications.
  
  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to achieve project goals. Provides routine updates to leadership team and other stakeholders.

To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Possess strong experience in GCP Design & Architect.
• Knowledge on Code fresh and Git hub
• Strong experience in GCP services, such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, to build efficient and resilient systems.
• Should be well versed with Atlassian suite such as confluence.
