Minimum Qualifications       

 

  • BA or BS degree(s), preferably in finance, economics, behavioral science, data analysis, or mathematics
  • Two years of relevant investment/research analyst experience (which may include a formal training program) from a top tier financial institution, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Superior critical independent thinking, communication skills, and temperament
  • Intellectual curiosity, personal integrity, and motivation (passion)

 

Bonus Qualification

  • Master’s degree or similar post-graduate study in finance, behavioral science, research, or investing

 

Duties

  • Develop, research, and evaluate various investment ideas and opportunities across multiple asset classes, including stocks, bonds, and alternative assets.
  • Analyze financial statements and market data to assess the performance and potential of investment options.
  • Collaborate with the firm's founding partners -- e.g., prepare investment/portfolio presentations, conduct research and analyses, create financial models, attend client calls/meetings, coordinate client communications, participate in investment committee meetings, etc.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide insights on asset management practices.
  • Utilize financial software to track investments, analyze data, and generate reports.
  • Stay current on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting investments.

  • Solid research skills to identify potential investment opportunities and assess risks.
  • Familiarity (but not necessarily agreement) with various financial concepts related to asset management and investment management.
  • Experience with financial software tools that facilitate investment analysis and reporting.
