Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Advisory - end to end mergers & acquisitions and lead IPO execution (including target list, databook and information memorandum preparation, financial due diligence and data room management, participate in transaction negotiations and stakeholder management);
  • Advising on the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, debt and equity capital raisings, liaising with financial institutions in respect of debt raises;
  • Management of project deliverables and adherence to transaction timeframes;
  • Conducting financial analyses, preparing reports and financial information for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders and prospective buyers;
  • Providing financial and strategic advice on business structures, forecasts, accounting policies and operations, including analysis of historical and budgeted income and operating costs;
  • Financial modelling and forecasting, including cash flow valuations for capital investment projects and/or acquisitions;
  • Manage, develop and work collaboratively with junior members of the team;
  • Build and manage client and stakeholder relationships; and
  • Assist with deal origination and the preparation of proposals, engagements and pitch documents.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Business / Commerce / Law or Economics (CA / CFA favourable)
  • 3-5 years' experience in M&A within a top-tier / mid-tier accounting firm, investment bank or boutique advisory firm
  • Experience in preparing information memoranda, databooks, proposals and other marketing documents
  • Experience in managing multiple M&A projects from end to end
  • Strong analytical and critical evaluation skills
  • Ability to meet and work towards deadlines
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Attention to detail and commercially insightful
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team
  • Strong ethical standards
