Tax and Accounting Risk Advisory - Team Manager

Our client is a global professional services firm, recruiting a Manager for their Tax and Accounting Risk Advisory team.

This is a team management role. You will lead on advisory services for corporate tax and accounting treatments. You'll work closely with major multinational clients on Japanese GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead & manage teams.
• Audit tax-related accounts, including tax effect accounting.
• Prepare tax provisions and disclosures of tax risks.
• Advise on process improvements for tax-related bookkeeping.
• Manage projects with international audit firms and global offices.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant advisory or project management services experience.
• Experience in accounting, tax, or consulting firms (strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of Japanese, US, or international accounting standards, especially tax accounting standards.
• Team leadership experience (preferred)
• CPA (Japan or other countries) or certified tax accountant qualifications.
• Experience in Big 4 firms or major multinational corporations (preferred).
• Experience with corporate tax filings and tax-related journal entries (preferred).
• MUST be fluent in Japanese.
