As the Financial Controlling Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closings. As the Financial Controlling Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closings. You'll lead the Financial Accounting team, fostering collaboration and effective leadership. Additionally, you'll work closely with international teams to manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and compliance with both local and global financial standards. Your role will involve supporting operational finance and business control functions while driving process optimization, enhancing reporting tools, and maintaining high financial accuracy and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and align the Financial Accounting team, ensuring strong performance and collaboration.
- Manage month-end reporting processes, including balance sheet control and reconciliation.
- Oversee group consolidations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure smooth data flow between the General Ledger and reporting tools, maintaining data integrity.
- Collaborate with external accountants to meet tax compliance and local financial reporting requirements.
- Manage intercompany trading, eliminations, and foreign exchange (FX) reconciliations.
- Support management accounting and business control activities, such as cost center accounting.
- Facilitate the transition of accounting tasks to a centralized or offshore shared services team, as needed.
Profiel
- Experience: 3-5 years of (operational) finance experience, with a strong understanding of financial controlling and month-end reporting processes.
- Group Consolidations: Proven expertise in group consolidations, financial reporting tools (preferably beyond Excel), and intercompany reconciliations.
- Accounting Knowledge: Familiar with cost center accounting, management accounting, and business control.
- International Finance: Ability to work effectively with global teams in a multicultural environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in balance sheet control, reconciliation processes, and preparing month-end closing files for audits.
- Intercompany Operations: Experience with intercompany trading, eliminations, and FX rate reconciliations.
- Collaboration: Skilled in working with external accountants for tax compliance and local financial reporting.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is not required but advantageous).
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a service-based business is a plus but not mandatory.
