The Role :
● Support all fund tax reporting and compliance matters for our international investment fund range (particularly in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and other jurisdictions).
● Review tax deliverables for direct and indirect tax provided by a variety of external service providers.
● Manage tax queries and audits from the local tax authorities and engage in discussion/meeting with local tax authorities as required.
● Supervise the regular and timely calculation and distribution of investor tax reporting's (particularly in the US).
● Handle all tax compliance related queries and discussions from/with the investors and focus on improving client experience.
● Ensure proper and up-to-date local or international tax documentation and tax filings of our investment funds across all business lines including Private Capital and Real Assets.
● Monitoring service providers on documentation, reporting, budget for tax compliance related aspects.
● Identify and manage tax risk, define, improve and or make sure appropriate controls and processes are in place to mitigate those risks.
● Collaboration and support in fund tax specific and firm wide local and cross-border projects.
● Managing ad hoc processes as required.
Qualification:
● A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience with a big four as part of a tax compliance or tax advisory team, a financial controller or tax lawyer.
● Strong knowledge of tax environment and tax principles, previous experience with tax compliance aspects.
● Solid technical and working knowledge of US tax with good financial accounting understanding is highly preferred.
● Good knowledge of Luxembourg and other international (US GAAP) accounting standards is considered a plus.
● Efficient, organised, independent professional attitude and strong communication and personal skills, flexible, well-organised and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
● Experience and involvement in tech driven project and
● Fluent in Cantonese and English, both spoken and written.
● Ability to work independently with a professional attitude and high work ethics.
● Self-starter who is able to prioritise competing work assignments in a global set up with and managing senior key stakeholders.
● High integrity, project management capabilities and courage to juggle with a lot of various internal and external stakeholders.
● Outcome based thinking, enthusiastic and excellent communication skills.
● Team spirit, very strong social competence, outspoken, straightforward and friendly, yet down to earth.
