The Ideal CandidateTo be considered for the role you should meet the following criteria:
  • Insurance or reinsurance audit or industry experience
  • A proactive approach and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • In-depth understanding of control procedures and process documentation
  • Solid knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102 and FRS 103). US GAAP knowledge useful too.
  • Proficiency in payroll tax and VAT

The RoleAs a Senior Financial Accountant, you will:
  • Spearhead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for London corporate services and also significantly contribute to financial statements of the main London business.
  • Oversee the annual OPEX budget preparation
  • Manage quarterly reports to head office
  • Ensure timely completion of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Craft accounting memos for complex transactions, providing clear rationale and impact analysis
  • Assist with VAT returns and payroll tax calculations
  • Review and process expense invoices, optimising internal procedures
  • Prepare and review journals across multiple entities
  • Drive process improvement initiatives within the department
  • Serve as a key liaison with external auditors
