GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy & Governance Analyst is responsible for assisting in the efforts of developing, enhancing, and maintaining several governance-related tasks such as the enterprise-wide BSA AML and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) risk assessments; Enterprise AML Groups Department policies and programs, procedures, and other controls based on regulatory/policy changes, risk assessment results, audit, and findings, etc. This role evaluates and executes new BSA AML, OFAC, or other regulatory changes, guidance, and industry best practices against the existing Compliance Program to support the other Enterprise AML Group Department teams in developing, enhancing, and executing control, and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyzes the BSA/AML Risk and OFAC Assessment's metrics for BSA/AML and OFAC inherent risks associated with Centennial clients, delivery channels, products/services, and geographies. This duty is performed as needed, about 15% of the time.
2. Researches to identify BSA/AML and OFAC risk associated with new and expansion of existing products and services along with customer and industry types. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
3. Assesses BSA/AML and OFAC risk in current and new bank initiatives while providing easy to understand guidance to business staff and senior management. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
4. Collaborates with BSA Strategy and Analytics to perform threat analysis as industry developments occur to determine if updates and revisions to the risk assessments are warranted. This duty is performed annually, about 5% of the time.
5. Gathers and analyzes documentation received from the Annual LOB Risk Assessment Surveys. This duty is performed annually, about 5% of the time.
6. Provides assistance in developing, enhancing, and maintaining Enterprise BSA/AML policies, procedures, and supporting documentation. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
7. Tracks and maintains annual certifications for third parties involved in the Banks BSA program. This duty is performed annually, about 5% of the time.
8. Participates in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the enterprise-wide BSA/AML and OFAC training program. This duty is performed annually, about 5% of the time.
9. Analyzes Quality Assurance Program Reports to identify gaps in policy, procedure, or training. This duty is performed monthly, about 15% of the time.
10. Creates training materials for Enterprise AML Group on FinCEN advisories, OFAC Compliance Advisory Notes, Regulatory updates, and other industry developments as they are released. This duty is performed annually, about 10% of the time.
11. Supports Lines of Businesses and BSA Department by researching issues/questions and provides appropriate clarification or interpretation to requestor on applicable rules, regulations, and guidance under the direction of the Deputy Director of BSA/AML Operations. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
12. Completes required Annual BSA AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.
13. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.
14. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

-Must have a risk-based and innovative mindset while also having the ability to work collaboratively with other Enterprise AML Department managers and other internal stakeholders to influence change.
-Demonstrably strong written/oral communication skills, organization, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to move quickly through distinct priorities.
-Bachelor's degree focus desirable for position: Criminal Justice, Banking Compliance/AML Specialized, Political Science, Mathematics, or Economics
