These businesses provide finance solutions for Westpac's institutional banking clients, including Australia's largest corporates, financial institutions and Governments.

Key responsibilities in this role will require you to:

• Independently advise, draft documents and assist in negotiation of transactions in compliance with laws, policies and requirements;

• Ensure external legal resources are properly and efficiently selected and used

• Provide insight to CIB business partners on and guide implementation of external advice

• Ensure outputs produced by external counsel complies with our policies and requirements

• Partner with the CIB business in maintaining awareness of relevant regulatory requirements

• Work closely with other CIB Legal lawyers, Financial Markets (FM) Legal Global Transaction Solutions (GTS) Legal and Westpac's wider Legal & Secretariat function and other stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.

This role will involve advising on a variety of banking transactions, lending and structured finance transactions. You will enjoy working with a highly respected Legal team, flexible work arrangements, and a great range of benefits.
