Service Line Overview

KPMG Private Enterprise (PE) aims to provide a one-stop solutions to family offices and to become the trusted advisor for private clients. The KPMG PE team has the capability to identify cross-function services that helps private clients to navigate the unique challenges and transformational change they will face at each stage of their business lifecycle.

We are looking for a committed professional to join our PE team to drive the strategic growth plan of our business. You will be supporting the PE leaders in the execution of our go-to-market initiatives and acting as a bridge across different service lines to derive an integrated solution that is tailored to needs of private clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage tax advisory and compliance assignments, including preparing tax advice and reports for clients
  • Develop and implement innovative ways to approach client needs - Use research into client businesses (the issues they face, the state of markets, key developments) to initiate new service and product offerings to clients
  • Understand the landscape of the HNW and UHNW individuals, privately held family business and family offices in order to address their business and family needs such as family office set-up, asset restructuring planning, trust or holding structure, family governance, succession planning, technology enablement and philanthropy
  • Act as a project manager to work collaboratively with a team of KPMG subject matter experts in different service lines including Legal & Tax, Audit and Advisory to bring forward broad-based business skills and tailored solutions to clients
  • Familiar with and keep abreast of latest KPMG services offering for target clients
  • Establish and maintain connections with external intermediaries including industry associations, private bankers, lawyers, trustees, etc
Experience & Background
  • A degree in Accounting / Finance or any other business-related discipline and ideally a professional qualification (accounting or legal)
  • Minimum six (6) years of experience preferably in a professional services firm or financial institution
  • Knowledge and experience in HK tax law or PRC tax law is required
  • Direct client delivery experience in any professional services line is a plusA commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to connect the dots and to turn abstract ideas into actionable plan and deliverables
  • Be confident in dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally and in bringing divergent priorities to a common ground
  • A strong team player who has project management experience while being comfortable to work independently
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin are both required)
