About the team

The Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' Finance team is part of the Global Carrier Management & Tax which comprises of approximately 20 employees based in Singapore. The team collaborates with cross functional teams across the region and other global teams to deliver timely and reliable financial results for both regulatory and statutory reporting, ensures consistency in governance for regulatory reporting risk and strategic initiatives implementation. In addition, the team is also responsible for active business partnering to enable business development opportunities.

The team's overall ambition is to drive financial performance of the organization through leveraging data analytics, process efficiencies and developing our team member's capabilities.

About the role

• Overall management of Singapore regulatory and statutory reporting for the Singapore branch, with strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple deliverables, competing priorities and moving timelines
• Able to lead a motivated team to deliver reporting requirements
• Active dialogue with MAS for query resolution and developing pre-emptive analytics and response.
• Active solvency management under MAS RBC2 framework, including that of Labuan branch.
• Advising business on impacts to regulatory reporting and capital position for the bespoke transactions and other initiatives.
• Drive and review branches' retrocession related calculations and reporting.
• Provides timely and accurate input to Branch committee report, including providing insights to underlying

business drivers.

• Design and drive effective analytics for internal & external reporting purposes.
• Drive and coordinate Singapore corporate tax returns and indirect taxes

About you

• University degree (Accounting or Finance) with CA/CPA

• Expertise in MAS regulations and understanding of IFRS 17 accounting
• More than 7 years of relevant work experience in Singapore insurance legal entity controllership and regulatory reporting
• Prior exposure in dealing with external stakeholders, particularly regulators, is highly desirable
• Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong focus on improving the control environment and continuous improvement of processes
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with multiple stakeholders
